There can be little doubt that the most enticing performance at this year's New York State Fair will be the Flaming Lips-headlined evening. With supporting acts Sonic Youth, The Magic Numbers, and Ween, this Friday night certainly stands out from the other performers at the fair.

Still the Official Kick Off to Summer in Philadelphia, Captain Morgan's Jam on the River at Penn's Landing celebrated 20 years in 2005, and kicks off the next 20 years this May 2006.
