Hip-Hop Rumors: Jay-Z and Nas' First Song?

THE NEW OLD NEW NEW YORK!

That bird is talking again! Tru Life, Jay-Z's recent signee, will be the first to bring Jay-Z and Nas together on wax! Apparently, the trio is going to do a new remix of Tru Life's "New New York" and show the power of the new Def Jam. Now, this is great, but why are they calling it the "New New York" with two vets on it. I think it should be called the "New/Older New York" or something like that. Either way, I can't wait to hear this.

CAM'RON AND MARIAH?

Awwwww, man! First Eminem and now Mariah might be down with the Dip Set Don Cam'ron? Apparently, the pair was recently sighted getting all cozy at Bungalow 8 and also the Roxy in Los Angeles. Also, Mariah was seen with the rapper’s Diplomats chain on as they drove in Cam's now-infamous Lamborghini. They made music together in the past and now it seems like they want to make a different sort of "music."

BUSTA'S VIDEO TO PREMIER NEXT WEEK

On February 5, Busta Rhymes bodyguard Israel Ramirez was shot and killed on the set of the rapper's video. Well, people have speculated as to the status of the video and I have been informed that the video will premier next week sometime. Not sure what network got their hands on first. I wonder how they managed to finish the video after somebody was killed like that? Anyway, somebody allegedly has the whole incident that lead to Ramirez's death on audiotape. The only thing is, the person wants about $50,000 for the damn thing. Are they suggesting that is what Ramirez’s life is worth? Turn the tape over!

NOT THAT THERE IS BEEF…BUT…

There was a Jim Jones sighting over the All-Star weekend in Houston. Apparently, Jimmy wasn't with anybody that was overtly down with Dip Set like Cam'ron, Juelz or any of the main rappers. On top of this, he allegedly didn't have any Dip Set chain or paraphernalia on. Clearly, this doesn't mean that there is a beef, but does add to the suspicion. This does add to the suspicion. I also heard that Jimmy might be starting a label called Byrd Gang Records as an offshoot of the Diplomats. Anybody else heard that? Word is, Jimmy is the man behind the Dip Set business. I can’t call it at all.

HEZ WALKER GAY?

Man, you guys are brutal! Is popular Black minister Hezekiah Walker gay? I have ignored this rumor for a while (I do that, you know!), but I keep getting emails on it. So, it seems that his ex-wife has attempted to expose a secret “down-low” life of the minister after allegedly contracting a sexually transmitted disease. This is unbelievable to me, yet the accounts that I am receiving appear to be credible. The word is Hez is going to step down from his church post and…do what? I have no idea and this rumor is on this page only because people demanded it! I have no clue as to Hezekiah Walker's sexual orientation, only that there is a typhoon of rumors about him.

JAY-Z GOES TO SEE BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN?

I don't know why I am even writing about this, because it's so stupid. But there is a rumor that Jay-Z went to see Brokeback Mountain or something. I have no idea why this is news or even a rumor. He went to a movie [if he even went to a movie]…SO WHAT? I'm ashamed of myself for giving it light!

DOES BOBBY BROWN WANT BEEF WITH BIG GIPP?

Tamala Jones, the actress girlfriend of rapper Big Gipp, is saying on record that Bobby Brown requested sex from her at a party for Nick Cannon. The party, which took place at Los Angeles bowling alley, had Bobby all inebriated when he hollered at Tamala. In a recent issue of Smooth magazine, she said, "He came over and said, 'What's up?' He picks me up and he's like, 'I heard you been in Atlanta, girl. Why you don't come and see me? Don't you know I always wanted to f88k you?' I'm like, 'Boy you better put me down! I am dating somebody that's in the business, and he's from Atlanta [BIG GIPP. Y'all!]. You know my dude and I know your wife.' He said he wasn't even with Whitney anymore." Bobby Better Be Better 'Bout Business! He said he tends to joke a lot as a retort to his alleged philandering.

N***A THIS N***A THAT – N***A WACK!

So, I got a word and I have difficulty believing it. Damon Wayans has allegedly attempted to trademark the word "n***a" so that he can make books, music and merchandise with it. I think he's a fool if this is true. I have respect for him, but if there is any fact in this, I'm going to have to slap fire out of him and his television son (goober). I'm sorry, but that has to be crap. Anyway, the U.S. patent and trademark offices denied his alleged requests. At least they have some sense!
