G4 Presents World Television Premiere of 'The Best of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog'
Wednesday February 22, 6:00 am ET
90-Minute Special Premieres Sunday, March 5 at 11:00 PM ET/PT

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is back and he's leaving his patented mark on everyone from "Star Wars" fans to Jon Bon Jovi, as G4 presents the world television premiere of the 90-minute special, "The Best of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog," premiering Sunday, March 5 at 11:00 PM ET/PT. The late night time period is one of G4's most highly-watched time periods.

The collection is the cream of the crop of the raucous canine's appearances on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." Created by Robert Smigel of "Saturday Night Live" and "TV Funhouse" fame, the cigar-chomping, bow-tie sporting puppet pooch makes dog meat of everything and everyone he encounters. Snarling outrageous -- and undeniably hilarious -- insults in his pseudo-Continental accent, Triumph occasionally tosses a bone to his victims with the only slightly apologetic, "I keed, I keed!"

"I've had a long career in showbiz, shuffling from stinky lounge acts to midnight shows -- I've even endured Conan's orange bouffant for nearly a decade -- and now here I am in another late night act," growls Triumph. "What's a dog puppet gotta do to get some respect around here? I keed, I keed ... After all these years, who would've thought I'd still be pedaling this stuff and that a network would actually pick it up?"

Triumph's rabid fans, who have followed his career since his original 1997 appearance with O'Brien, will lap up all of the Insult Comic Dog's famous escapades:

    * Triumph's two visits to the Westminster Dog Show, where he has his way
       (all too literally) with the pampered pets and their uptight owners;

    * His rock-star debut at a Bon Jovi concert-after first insulting Jon Bon
       Jovi's acting skills ("You're playing a vampire? Finally, a role where
       you're supposed to suck!") and getting up close and way too personal
       with actress Heather Locklear;

    * His riotous appearances on "Hollywood Squares," where he raises the fur
       of Al Roker and Kathy Lee Gifford with his highly risque double (make
       that single) entendres;

    * Dashing the hopes of "Star Wars" nerds as they wait for the premiere of
       the latest installment of the space dynasty ("I mean do they really
       think a woman is ever going to touch them through their 'Star Wars'
       Storm Trooper get-ups?")
