Toni Braxton's Bad Bounce?

Los Angeles (E! Online) - Is there a chink in Toni Braxton's business chain?

The "Un-Break My Heart" chanteuse was sued for breach-of-contract Friday by a costume designer who claims that Braxton bounced a check and has yet to pay their agreed-upon fee for his work on her Las Vegas show, Toni Braxton: Revealed.

Plaintiff Anthony Franco, who says that he designed the entire wardrobe for Braxton's standing act at the Flamingo Hotel, claims that he has only collected $20,000 of the $35,000 that's owed to him and that the check he tried to cash was returned for insufficient funds because the defendants put a stop-payment on it.

Liberty Entertainment Inc., which issued the check, has also been named as a defendant.

Franco is seeking $15,000 in compensation plus unspecified damages for the alleged slight, according to the complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Braxton's reps have not yet commented on the suit.

Braxton, who filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in 1998 amidst larger financial troubles, settled up in February with her ex-manager Barry Hankerson, who she had accused of manipulating her into leaving longtime label LaFace/Arista to join his new recording company, and then subsequently failing to properly promote her last album, Libra.

In exchange for her lack of further obligation to Hankerson's Blackground Records, Braxton had to return a $375,000 advance and hand over a portion of her royalties from her next album.

On a high note, Toni Braxton: Revealed kicked off last August and its run has reportedly been extended until February 2008. The six-time Grammy winner also released a two-disc compilation album, The Essential Toni Braxton, in February.
