The Killers have announced an October tour in support of their sophomore album Sam's Town . The trek begins with a two-night stand in Los Angeles on October 6 and 7. Two dates are also scheduled for New York City's Madison Square Garden Theatre on October 25 and 26. The Killers return to their hometown of Las Vegas as one of the headliners of the Vegoose Festival on October 28.

Comedian/ Tenacious D Rock star Jack Black will host this year's MTV Video Music Awards, taking place at New York's Radio City Music Hall on August 31 at 8 p.m. "My plan is to bring the thunder," Black said in a statement. "I've got my top men working on it as we speak, in my thunder laboratory.
