Ageless metal frontman Ronnie James Dio is set to embark on an acting career after agreeing to play himself in the Tenacious D movie, The Pick of Destiny.

Dio jumped at the chance to appear in the movie when he learned he'd be part of a fantastic dream sequence, starring funnyman Jack Black

Dio says, "In the scene, Jack's character is 10 or 12. His father comes in and rails at him and slams the door.

"On the back of the door is a big poster of me. He starts singing to the poster: 'Dio, tell me what I should do?' And I come alive off the poster, sing a song and reply to him."

It's cool because any poster of Dio is lif-size anyway, so they won't have to fuck around with special effects too much. \m/
