Now here's a chance to check out whether touring is really nothing more than factory work. Story of the Year, in an act of sheer craziness, is credited with having played 517 shows in 540 days. Logic says that should make them one of the best live bands on the planet - if practice makes perfect.

Their particular brand of grunge/punk-influenced power pop (they wouldn't appreciate that term) is accessible and angry all at the same time. They will be accompanied by the heirs of the Pogues, a jolly Celtic punk/folk band named Flogging Molly and alternative pop/rock outfit Emery, whose style of 21st century music has been delightfully named "screamo". This is a good chance to check out some of the more intriguing new bands.
