Filter Frontman Forms New Band

Richard Patrick

by Paul Cashmere

August 8 2006

Richard Patrick of Filter has formed Army of Anyone with members of Stone Temple Pilots.

Brothers Dean and Robert DeLeo from Stone Temple Pilots as well as drummer Ray Luzier have already recorded their debut album with producer Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper).

While Filter has not released a new record since 1999, the band has never officially broken up.

Likewise, for Stone Temple Pilots there has never been an official breakup announcement despite it being 5 years since the release of their last studio album ‘Shangri-La-Dee-Da’.

Lead singer Scott Weiland is now frontman for Velvet Revolver and while he was undergoing rehab, the DeLeo’s recorded an album under the name Talk Show with singer Dave Coutis.

The Army of Anyone album is expected early next year.
