| Hide the women and children; Korn is back in town.
The menacing heavy rock band, which started the Family Values Tour in 1998, brings it back to Glen Helen Hyundai Pavilion on Aug. 19. Deftones, Flyleaf, Stone Sour, Dir en Grey, Bury Your Dead and Bullets & Octane round out the bill.
Korn was recently in the news when singer Jonathan Davis was taken to a London hospital and diagnosed with a blood infection caused by an allergic reaction to medication. Davis is now recovering at home so the band can resume touring in a few weeks. Still as popular as ever, Korn has three releases riding the Billboard 200 chart: the concert disc "Live & Rare," last year's studio CD "See You on the Other Side" and "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1." KCXX has been spinning the band's latest single, "Coming Undone."Tickets for the Devore show are $9.99-$59.50 (plus service fees) and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Tower Records, Wherehouse Music and Ritmo Latino locations, charge by phone, (213) 480-3232 and www.ticketmaster.com. |
