Leigh Nash is Back

LEIGH NASH IS BACK AND HER “IDEA OF HEAVEN” IS BEING REVEALED

Leigh Nash illustrates Heaven on Earth in new video “My Idea of Heaven”

New York, NY – June 17, 2006 – Leigh Nash (formerly of Sixpence None the Richer) is sharing her new visions. Of life. Of love. Of Heaven. And she has never been more satisfied.

In the video from her first single, “My Idea of Heaven,” Nash takes a page from Bob Dylan’s book. She draws on the famous sequence from Dylan’s rockumentary Don’t Look Back, where several couples from all walks of life, turn away from each other, write their idea of Heaven on a cue card, and reveal them to one another on cue.

Jeff Stephenson is directing this fun, engaging, and endearing look at the nature of love as shared by a variety of couples and defined by the individual partners. A well-established and highly-acclaimed film director, Stephenson has directed many intriguing documentaries, including Flyerman (2005) and Bellini’s Drive (1998). The title of “#1 Canadian Filmmaker To Look Out For” was bestowed upon him by Toronto’s Now Magazine, the equivalent of The Village Voice and LA Weekly in Canada.

The video and single are in promotion of her upcoming debut album, Blue On Blue, which will hit stores nationwide on August 15th. “My Idea of Heaven” was officially added to AC radio on June 19th, as well as to rotation at KLLC in San Francisco. “My Idea of Heaven” is also streamed on KLLC’s Web site.

Formerly the lead singer from the Platinum-selling group Sixpence None The Richer, Nash now brings her well-known voice back to the music scene. Most noted for the Grammy-nominated ballad “Kiss Me,” Sixpence has since become a household name. After the success of “Kiss Me” (landing on the soundtrack to Miramax Films’ “She’s All That” and played at the televised wedding of England’s Prince Edward in 1999) the band followed up with a cover of The La’s “There She Goes,” propelling them (and Nash’s vocals) into the limelight again. Nash has appeared and performed on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the gems of morning talk shows, as well as had her music hit #1 status in 11 countries and topped VH1’s Video Countdown.
