    Oasis, Ryan Adams Confirm Brief Summer Tour

    Oh to be a Canadian right now


    Oasis has announced their first-ever Canadian tour, a one-week trek that runs from August 27 in Vancouver to an appearance at Toronto's Virgin Festival on September 7. Jilted anglophiles have one chance to catch the band as well: a warmup date in Seattle on August 26. Did we mention that Ryan Adams & the Cardinals are joining the cranky Brits for their entire tour? Well they are, so expect a veritable explosion of egos on that stage.

    In other Oasis news, Noel Gallagher recently helped write the Paul Weller song "Echoes Round the Sun," one half of a double A-side single that also includes "Have You Made Up Your Mind" (featuring Oasis guitarist/keyboardist Colin "Gem" Archer).
