|
The Rancho Cucamonga, CA, pop-punk quartet 'Rufio' is musically comparable to such early 21st century chart-toppers as Blink 182 and Sum 41, Rufio issued their debut recording in 2001 on The Militia Group label, Perhaps, I Suppose. The band returned in June 2003 with MCMLXXXV (released on the Nitro label), which was recorded with the aid of producer Nick Rasculinecz (Foo Fighters; Rancid). Rufio further upped their profile with a series of Warped Tour dates that summer. Their new album The Comfort of Home was released in July of 2005 to critical acclaim they had not previously received. Name The band gets their name from the character Rufio, one of the Lost Boys from the fairy tale story Peter Pan. He was a raggedy-clothed teen that lead the Lost Boys in Peter Pan's absence.
