The Gorillaz and De La Soul Get Live In Harlem

De La Soul

De La Soul, Bootie Brown of The Pharacyde and UK rapper Roots Manuva are scheduled to take part in the "Demon Days Live" tribute concerts in honor of Gorillaz's award-winning platinum album, Demon Days, at Harlem, NY's Apollo Theater.

In addition to the aforementioned artists, the concerts will also feature old-school rapper/dance artist Neneh Cherry and rock and soul legend Ike Turner, among others.

The Demon Days' first live series were held November at the Manchester Opera House in the UK. The concerts quickly sold out. Tickets for the New York shows go on sale March 10.

The team behind the animated band and animation house Passion Pictures are presently working on a live holographic tour scheduled for 2007-2008. Meanwhile, the Demon Days Live concerts will be part live performance and theme park experience with the band onstage transmitted in 3-D.

"Demon Days Live" concerts are slated to take place April, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 at Harlem's Apollo Theater.
