CLUBBING NEWS
By Stuart Barrie

THE team behind Edinburgh club Manga are taking a break from running the celebrated Drum & Bass night to concentrate on new projects.

First up is a Basstrap promotions night with Roni Size, hosted at the Bongo club next Friday.

Next is a welcome return of the irrepressible Do This Do That who invite old pals Groove Armada up for shindig at the Venue, Edinburgh on Saturday, March 18. Support comes from DTDT resident Neil Anthony.

Last but not least, Bio-Rhythm has a new home at The Venue in Calton Road with a night on the March 24 starring breaks leading light Soul of Man.

DEEP Dish have teamed up with Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks for a cover of the band's song Dreams.

Easily one of the key tracks on their George Is On album, the follow up to the dance duo's singles Say Hello and Sacramento features Nicks, who re-recorded her vocals for the Washington DC-based pair. Out on April 3, the track is backed by mixes from Axwell and Dean Coleman.

ALBUMS

FOR sheer value for money, it's hard to beat the package trance superstar Marco V has put together for his album 200v.

As well as a rather decent album, you also get a video DVD, a short film about his work and an MP3.

The quality is impressive too with the Inside Out favourite delivering much more than the full-on trance he's known for.

FOR soulful house it's hard to see past the Masters At Work. And the pair have come up with the goods once again on their new Soul Heaven mix for Defected.

There's no meandering experimentation, just plain old fashioned house.

SINGLES

IT'S not one you'll be hearing on many dance floors, but there'll be no escaping The Street's new single Like you Wasn't Famous.

Mike Skinner's tale of love in rehab will have tongues wagging on who it is, but best of all, Skinner has come up with his best set of beats ever for his strongest single to date.
