American idols steal the show

A host of stars descended at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles to vie for the American Music Awards on Sunday night. Some won, some didn't, but most of them certainly grabbed the spotlight.

Beyonce Knowles was presented with the international artist award, which has been handed to select artistes like Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart and Aerosmith in the past. Here's a look at the rest of the movers and shakers of the star-studded night.
