Say what you will about The Bronx and all the questionable, behind-the-scenes "anti-punk" shadiness that comes with them, this record is fucking good. Really good. The Bronx have been touted as the next big thing since their first shows, opening for Rocket From The Crypt on a high-profile tour. Since day one The Bronx have had a major label behind them, making them an easy target for punk purists. But this self-titled album is too hard, too fast, and, frankly, too good for a mainstream audience to catch on to. Sure The Bronx will be huge, they will tour the world over and make a decent buck while they're at it, but I seriously doubt that this will be in the hands of moms and dads looking for Xmas gifts for their Avenged Sevenfold children. And for that, I think they just may have outsmarted the man who writes their cheques.
