Rival schools join forces against Thaksin

Students from two rival vocational colleges called a truce Wednesday to join a mass anti-government rally in Bangkok's shopping district.

Scores of students from Rajamangala Institute of Technology's Uthenthawai campus and Pathumwan Institute of Technology, both located near the protest site, took to the streets and joined thousands of other protesters who gathered near the Siam Paragon shopping complex.

Student leaders from the two colleges last night shared the same stage when they criticised the government.
