ASHCROFT JOINS SUNDAY FESTIVAL LINE-UP
SINGER songwriter Richard Ashcroft has been confirmed as penultimate act on Sunday's bill at this year's Nokia IW Festival in June.
The former Verve frontman's critically acclaimed third solo album, Keys To The World, is currently enjoying chart success unseen since The Verve's landmark album, Urban Hymn.
Meanwhile, festival headline acts for Saturday and Sunday should be known on Monday.
Virgin Radio has announced it expects to name the performers on Monday evening.
Promoters Solo confirmed it did, indeed, hope to make an announcement at about 5.30pm — and repeated its warning that the festival is expected to sell out.
"We really do urge people who want to come to buy tickets as soon as they can," a Solo spokesman said.
