Rapper RED CAFE is recovering from minor injuries after being involved in a car accident earlier this month (12FEB06)

The incident occurred on 12 February (06) when the BLING BLAOW hitmaker was driving his BMW following a snowstorm in Long Island, New York, according to AllHipHop.com.

Red Cafe was released from Long Island College Hospital after which he made a statement explaining his gratitude to fans for their support.

He said, "I would like to thank my fans, family and friends for their concern and prayers.

"I'm a trooper and I will be back to finish my long-awaited debut album (and) doing what I do best for my fans shortly."

Red Cafe's new album I GOT A STORY TO TELL will be released on the Capitol Records label.
