Ray J sex tape ready for release

Rumors of a sex tape starring R&B crooner Ray J and his ex-girlfriend, celebutante Kim Kardashian (daughter of

O.J. Simpson attorney Robert Kardashian) have finally been substantiated. Adult film company Vivid Video has confirmed that it has paid an unidentified third party $1 million for the rights to the tape, and that the footage will be released as the racy DVD Kim Kardashian Superstar on February 21. Additional footage not on the DVD will also be available online.

Vivid's co-chairman, Steven Hirsch, announced in a statement: "I've seen the video and it's really great. It has over 30 minutes of explicit sex that fans of erotica will find very appealing featuring two young and glamorous high-profile celebrities. Apparently, the video was shot by Ray J about three years ago when he and Kim were in a relationship. The production is crystal-clear and viewers will definitely get their money's worth."

Hirsch added, "If either Kim or Ray J would like to discuss the video with us, we would be happy to do so."

This is not the first time that Ray J (aka Willie Norwood Jr., the younger brother of troubled R&B diva Brandy) has been linked to a sex tape scandal. Last year,

Karrine Steffans, who dished the dirt about her relationship with Ray J in her best-selling book Confessions of A Video Vixen, was the subject of a triple-X videotape released by Vivid.

Ray J has been most recently romantically linked to the much older

Whitney Houston. Luckily, no known tape of that unlikely couple exists as of this writing.
