Dance track Borderline by Michael Gray featuring Shelly Poole is the highest new entry, at number 12. Primal Scream`s Dolls charted at number 40.
Hanging on in the top ten are feisty American ladies Christina Aguilera, Paris, along with British newcomer Lily Allen. The only new entry into the top ten, at number 10, is Snow Patrol with Chasing Cars. They moved up from last week`s number 13 spot.
James Morrison has moved up one place to number five this week with You Give Me Something and he keeps his place at the top of the album chart for a second week with Undiscovered.
The only new entry into the top ten album chart is the LA band Orson with Bright Idea which has moved eight places to claim fourth place.
There are six new album entries, with Ronan Keating`s Bring You Home at number 28, and veteran rockers Pink Floyd`s live album Pulse charting at number 34.
The Bristol collective Massive Attack charted at number 40 with Collected - The Best of Massive Attack.
Detroit rappers DMX`s Year of the Dog Again fell 13 places to number 35 and Kelly Clarkson`s Breakaway fell six places to number 37.
But laid-back Hawaiian Jack Johnson`s In Between Dreams climbed four places to 31, and Feeling`s Twelve Stops and Home climbed, appropriately enough, 12 places to number 18.
Soul singer Nina Simone`s `best of` album fared better than soul legend Sam Cooke. She rose two places to number seven, whereas he dropped seven places to number 30.
