Will Michael Jackson Be Part Of An American Idol Theme Week?

While absurd rumors about Courtney Love either replacing Paula Abdul or appearing during a Nirvana theme week make headlines, the most shocking possible American Idol guest appearance and theme week has been all but overlooked.  Several signs seem to be pointing to the possibility that Michael Jackson will be the focus of an upcoming American Idol theme week and might possible even appear to mentor the American Idol finalists.  Reality TV Magazine has exclusively put all the clues together and is predicting that a Michael Jackson theme week and appearance is in the works for American Idol.

Right from the beginning American Idol producers have been dropping subtle hints about a big event show in the middle of the season that will blow America away.  Assuming that the big event show involves a special guest appearance, there are only a couple performers whose presence would cause a huge stir.  Since Elvis is reportedly dead, Michael Jackson would likely be the next most surprising singer that could make an appearance.

But there are way more signs than just the rumored big event show that the gloved one might have his sites set on American Idol.  Several reports have been circulating that Michael Jackson has been having secret meetings with American Idol creator and 19 Entertainment founder Simon Fuller.  The meetings have been rumored to involve doing a possible Las Vegas show to help relaunch Michael Jackson’s career.  Could the rumor about a Las Vegas show just be subterfuge to cover up the real purpose of their meetings?  If a faded pop star wants to relaunch their career, everyone knows the best way to do it is through an American Idol appearance, not a Las Vegas show.  Or assuming that the Las Vegas show is real, wouldn’t flying the American Idol finalists out to Vegas to meet with Michael Jackson during a Michael Jackson theme week be the perfect promotion for the show?  Could Simon Fuller really be brokering a deal for the embattled pop star to appear on America’s most popular television show?

If Simon Fuller and Michael Jackson having secret meetings isn’t enough to get the Michael Jackson on American Idol rumor mill churning, then how about the fact that American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe seemed to drop a clue about the possibility during a recent media conference call.  When answering a question about the tight reign that American Idol keeps on the finalists, Lythgoe said “We don’t want anything slipping out.  If we’ve got major stars coming on that we want to do a big publicity thing with.  ‘Hey, Michael Jackson is coming to American Idol this week,’ then I’ve got to leave that up to Fox publicity to put out there, not have it slip out with somebody telling their Mom that Michael Jackson is coming.”

Considering Nigel Lythgoe often likes to have a little fun in his media interviews, Reality TV Magazine would not be surprised if he dropped this little tidbit as a teaser to see if anyone would pick up on it.  American Idol producers teasing about a big event show, American Idol creator Simon Fuller having secret meetings with Michael Jackson, Nigel Lythgoe telling media that he doesn't want it slipping out if a major star like Michael Jackson is coming, Reality TV Magazine predicts that this all adds up to a Michael Jackson theme week and guest appearance on American Idol 6.

If Michael Jackson appears on American Idol, that will be the biggest thing to ever hit the show. The ratings that are already high will shoot through the roof. I hope it happens.

I don't think is a good thing for michael jackson to appear on the show because their are young boys around.Michael jackson is not suppose to be around kids anymore.

MJ on 'Idol is huge ! Hope it happens- I'll definitely tune in.

If Michael is not supposed to be around kids, then he would still not have custody of HIS kids. He hasn't been convicted so let's drop this and look at it from the standpoint if Michael appears on the show, this would be HUGE!

Of course it will be huge, it's The King Of Pop, he is everyones mentor from dance to vocal abilities
