The song, which features each artist using their verse to address their haters before coming together for the chorus, rose from eighth last week to top the charts, the Official UK Charts Company said.
In the album charts, the bluesy rock band Kings of Leon from Tennessee retained number one with "Because of the Times."
The highest new album entry was Cassadaga by the U.S. band Bright Eyes, which entered at 13.
Artist and producer Timbaland leapfrogged the Proclaimers and their hit "(I'm Gonna Be) 55 Miles, ending its three-week stint at the top of the singles charts. The re-working of the Scottish twins' 1980s classic, which features comedians Peter Kay and Matt Lucas, slipped to fourth.
Mark Ronson, featuring D Merriweather, continued the rise up the charts to second from last week's sixth with the single "Stop me if you've Heard this one Before."
Canadian rocker Avril Lavigne slipped one place from second to third with her single "Girlfriend."
Other fallers included Gwen Stefani and "The Sweet Escape," going from third to sixth, and U.S. band The Fray with "How to Save a Life," dropping from fourth to seventh.
"Beautiful Liar," a collaboration between stars Beyonce and Shakira, continued its move up the charts, from 10th to fifth.
