Ms Dynamite, Natasha Bedingfield and Katie Melua are fronting a national awareness campaign to help children living in extreme poverty.

Feed a Child for a Year has been launched to draw attention to one billion children who are crippled by poverty in developing countries.

There are 3,900 poverty-related deaths of children each day and 400 million have no safe drinking water.

The launch was in London's Hard Rock Cafe where Ms Dynamite spoke of how poverty not only affects third world countries but also children in the UK: "There are thousands of kids who are under nourished or malnourished."

"It does not have to be like that, It is so unnecessary" she added.

Chart topper Daniel Bedingfield also turned up to show support for his sister and the campaign.
