Nappy Roots Information

'Nappy Roots' are a rap group from Kentucky. They were established in 1995 by students of Western Kentucky University. Members include both Kentucky and Oakland natives. Some of their hits include Awnaw, Po' Folks, Sick & Tired and Roun' The Globe.
Nappy Roots recorded two albums and also worked on the soundtrack of the film "The Ladykillers" by Joel and Ethan Coen.Their music may be characterised as alternative southern rap.
