'NSYNC Member Lance Bass Talks to 'People' Magazine About Being Gay

Surrounded by the support of his fellow band members and with feelings of being "at peace with my family, my friends, myself and God," 'NSYNC member Lance Bass spoke with People magazine about being gay and his strong relationship with former Amazing Race winner Reichen Lehmkuhl in the magazine's current issue. Those who have followed Bass' career closely were not shocked as gossip blogger Perez Hilton began publicly proclaiming Lance Bass was gay in the fall of 2005 and frequent reports had appeared recently about Bass being seen often in public with the openly gay Lehmkuhl.

Lance Bass is eloquent and refreshingly open when speaking about himself and his experience being in and out of the closet. Now that he is out, he explains moving forward in the following way - if people now ask him if he is gay he will respond "No, I'm also gay." That is to indicate that being gay is not his defining characteristic. It is simply one aspect in the overall picture that is Lance Bass.
