No nore talks with Pakistan - Foreign Secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan have been called off
Media Release
Jul. 14, 2006

In the wake of the Mumbai serial blasts that killed around 200 people, Foreign Secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan have been called off for now, say sources.

The talks were scheduled to be held on July 21, official sources said today. The security agencies strongly suspect the involvement of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba in the blasts. During the talks the two sides were to review the third round of their composite dialogue. The foreign secretary-level talks were to be followed the next day by parleys between the foreign ministers to review the last round of the composite dialogue and set the agenda for the next round.
