Mushroomhead Information

'Mushroomhead' is an eight person metal band from Cleveland, formed in 1993. Their music can be described as a blend of nu-metal, industrial and hardcore influences. The band members characterize themselves by wearing masks on stage (except for singers Waylon and Jeffrey Nothing), which occasionally results to accusations for "jumping on the bandwagon" of Slipknot, but Mushroomhead came out a few years before Slipknot. Despite this fact, many fans of this band say that Slipknot copied Mushroomhead, and vice versa.
With the recent departure of singer J Mann, who left the band for personal reasons and on a good note, Mushroomhead picked up singer Waylon Reavis. Mushroomhead released their first DVD on August 9th, 2005 and is set to release a new album in early 2006.
