Murderdolls Information

'Murderdolls' are a Horror Punk/Glam Metal band fronted by Wednesday 13, formerly of Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13. One of their key influences is Glam Metal. The band was always cited as being a side project of Joey Jordison, the drummer of the band Slipknot, created after the disbandment of The Rejects (though some people argue that the Murderdolls were just The Rejects under a diffrent name.)
The bands album consists mostly of rehashed Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 songs with an added Glam Metal Twist, introducing a whole new audience to the past music of Wednesday 13.
Since their formation in 2001, they have toured with such bands as Queens of the Stone Age, Papa Roach, Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters, and (Hed) P.E.. They were also featured in a Halloween episode of Dawson's Creek, where they performed the songs "Dead In Hollywood" and "197666".
Shock Rocker Marilyn Manson featured in the bands promotional video for "Dead In Hollywood", returning the favour of Joey Jordison apearing in the Marilyn Manson video "Tainted Love" the previous year.
They are now no longer recording and/or touring together, but there is great speculation as to whether they will reform in the future. Although hopes are high, there seems to be little chance of this happening in the near future as all the members are currently working on other projects:
* Wednesday 13 is working on a solo career as well as resurrecting the Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13.
* Joey Jordison is drumming full time for Slipknot.
* Acey Slade is the singer (and guitarist) with Trashlight Vision.
* Eric Griffin is touring as guitarist with Faster Pussycat.
* Ben Graves is filling in as drummer on the Japanese tour for the band Dope.
