Mest
'Mest' is a punk band hailing from Chicago, Illinois with the cousins Matt Lovato and Tony Lovato who formed the band together in 1996. Jeremiah Rangel joined the band in 1998. Before that their guitarist was Steve Lovato, Tony´s brother. He left the band due to musical differences. Nick Gigler has played drums for Mest since 1997. Matt and his fianceé Tracy had their first child in February of 2005, her name is Amelie.

A few years later, in 1998, they released Mo' Money, Mo' 40z as self-released. Their debut album on Maverick Records Wasting Time was released in July 2000 and Destination Unknown in 2001. They toured as an opening band for Goldfinger on July 20, 2002 in Las Vegas and then a few months later released a DVD called The Show Must Go Off in January 2003. Mest is currently at home, following a tour with Social Distortion cut short when drummer Nick Gigler required medical attention for his carpal tunnel syndrome. The band has a new album, Photographs, which was released October 18th, 2005. They have two singles released on the internet from the disc, 'Kiss Me, Kill Me' and 'Take Me Away (Cried Out To Heaven)', which can be found at , along with the video for the lead single, 'Take Me Away'.
