Hot Tickets: Panic! to ensue at Long Beach Arena
Tickets to Panic! at the Disco and Bob Dylan with Kings of Leon go on sale.
What indie band can say it has had a better year than Panic! at the Disco? Since the Las Vegas group released its now-platinum debut "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" last September, much has changed for the quartet.
The band spent its summer on the road, playing a string of sold-out gigs which most recently took the band to New York for a performance on the MTV Video Music Awards and at the end of the night, Panic! took home the VMA for Video of the Year.
Now, the outfit is looking to make the next jump in its career and this time the band's over-the-top stage show is hitting arenas nationwide with a stop at Long Beach Arena on Dec. 6.
English groovesmiths Bloc Party, which will no doubt be debuting material from its yet-to-be titled sophomore effort, and Jack's Mannequin, featuring the wonderfully talented Andrew McMahon, will open. Tickets are $22.50-$29.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
For decades, Bob Dylan has been an influential recording artist, author and poet and finally he's decided to return to the road.
In support of "Modern Times," Dylan's first studio record in five years, the prolific singer-songwriter will come blowin' through Southern California on Oct. 20 when he stops at The Forum in Inglewood. Southern rock revivalists Kings of Leon will open the show. Tickets are $37.50-$77.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Former Van Halen singer (and talented artist in his own right) Sammy Hagar presents Red Rocktober at Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal Citywalk on Oct. 20. Be sure that the lauded rocker will play songs off his latest "Livin' It Up," plus a ton of other great hits. Tickets are $40-$65 and go on sale at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Christian singer-songwriter Chris Tomlin and his band will play the venue Oct. 22. Tickets to see the inspirational performer are $30 and go on sale at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Whip yourself into a frenzy with Devo, whose new-wave tunes are sure to get you movin'. The band will perform at The Grove of Anaheim with A Flock of Seagulls, When In Rome and Bow Wow Wow in tow on Oct. 27. Get in on the '80s bonanza when tickets, from $67.50-$75.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Also at the venue: Hawaii-born outfit Pepper will bring its grooves to the Grove Oct. 19. San Diego rock band Slightly Stoopid will also perform. Tickets, $25.50, go on sale at noon on Saturday. The Australian Pink Floyd Show, Oct. 31, $44.50-$49.50, on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday; Johnny Vatos Tribute to Halloween featuring former members of Oingo Boingo, Oct. 21, $32.50, on sale at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Aggressive metal monsters Story of the Year will tear through the Mouse House with Anberlin, Greeley Estates and Monty Arei on Nov. 7. Tickets are $19.50. Ziggy Marley will perform at the venue Oct. 17. Tickets are $31.
