'Killer Mike' (born 'Michael Render') is an African-American rapper, signed to Columbia Records through OutKast's Purple Ribbon Records imprint. He made his debut appearance on "Snappin' and Trappin'" on OutKast's 2000 LP Stankonia, and also appeared on "The Whole World", the single from OutKast's greatest hits album Big Boi and Dre Present...OutKast. Mike released his debut album, Monster, in 2003. The album's lead single was "Akshon (Yeah!)", featuring OutKast on guest vocals. Following the release of his own material, he appeared on "Flip Flop Rock" & "Bust" on the Speakerboxx half of Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and on "Down South" from Ol' Dirty Bastard's mixtape album, Osirus. Killer Mike is now on the label from Big Boi of OutKast called Purple Ribbon, and has an album, "Ghetto Extraordinary," slated for release at the end of 2005. He also is apart of the southern hip hop collective named Purple Ribbon All-Stars. He has done several songs on their two albums, including "Dungeon Family Dedication" which trys to explain the take over of the label by Big Boi and remembers the hayday of the Dungeon Family ond Organized Noise.
