'Khia' is a Rap and Hip-Hop music artist.
Biography
'Khia Chambers' was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but was raised in Tampa, Florida. She realized she wanted to be a musical performer in her early years while attending school talent shows and taking part in parades. She studied tap dancing and was a bartender in a Tampa Bay hot spot. While bartending she got to know a lot of DJs and producers from the area which led her to getting a record deal. In March of 2002, she released her debut album Thug Misses and the album's first single "My Neck, My Back" became a smash hit. The video was edited in order to play on networks such as BET and for radio due to the hard-core explicit lyrics in which Khia demanded men performing oral sex on the vulva and buttocks. While her success started to build up there were rumors going around that 'Khia' had been killed by her boyfriend. Khia appeared to clear the air and blamed her former label for the rumors. The label also posted old mug shots of 'Khia' before she got her record deal. 'Khia' was scheduled to release her second album Street Preacher, but it never was released. Khia has recently returned from overseas to begin work on another project however it has yet to find a major record label.
