Under terms of this agreement which is for a period of 15 years, NAS will not only provide the cargo handling equipment at the terminal but will also operate it using its workforce & technology.

NAS won this contract based on the extremely high standards that it has set at the Kuwait International Airport in the short time since its start of operation just over two years ago and the increase in cargo tonnages for its client airlines, especially by introducing the concept of being a public bonded warehouse and a multi-modal gateway for imports and exports into and out of Kuwait - Land, Sea and Air.

This agreement will enable its parent company PWC Logistics to provide multi-modal transport solutions to its customers in Jordan & the region by adding sea-air link to its already existing land-land and sea-land transportation solutions.

This facility is considered to be a key business enabler in the ASEZ and Jordan. The ADC, through this facility and other facilities, strives to transform the SEZ to a logistics hub servicing Jordan and the region and contributing to the overall development of the Jordan economy.

Commenting on the great timing Bara'a Al-Roumi, Managing Director of NAS said 'The NAS Cargo Division has recently been recognized by both KLM Royal Dutch Airlines as well as British Airways for its outstanding service & support for the year 2004 2005'

He added 'This agreement marks a new beginning for NAS and has made us an international company.'

'Since we began our operation in late 2003, we have consistently been winning new customers and awards, a fact that reaffirms our drive to succeed and set new standards not only in Kuwait but in the region. We hope to continue in our accolades and soon become a world leader in the ground handling business in future' he affirmed.
