SCENE IN THE TROPICS

Jay-Z, Beyoncé making the rounds

The steak wasn't the only thing sizzling at Prime 112 on Tuesday night. Spotted in the private, curtained wine room: Jay-Z, Beyoncé, her sister Solange, and former Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland. (On Wednesday, Jay-Z and Beyoncé were spotted at BED sipping Cristal champagne). When Jay-Z made his way through the room, he stopped to say hello to all the Toronto Raptors, filling up before playing the Miami Heat on Wednesday. On Sunday night, Dennis Rodman was in the restaurant, ''scaring customers by jumping up and down in front of tables while R&B singer Joe watched from another table and Miami Heat players watched in shock,'' says a spy.

Opening night at Studio A, downtown's upscale live-rock space owned by New York's Georgie Seville, Pedro Mena and Fancy, kicked-off with a true-rock moment as Juliette Lewis, actress and frontwoman for headlining band Juliette & The Licks, concluded her performance by diving off the stage and surfing across the room on the hands of the crowd.

The A&E channel will start filming the Kings of South Beach, a television movie about South Beach's notorious mob scenester, former Liquid owner Chris Paciello, in Miami and Puerto Rico in late May. Writer of the made for TV movie is Nick Pileggi, whose credits include Goodfellas, Casino and Loyalty & Betrayal: The Story of the American Mob.

Members of Bucky Jonson, the band that opened for The Black Eyed Peas, who performed at BankAtlantic Center on Thursday, were spotted romping around South Beach the night before the show, which also featured the Pussycat Dolls. Bandmember George Pajon hit the studio Wednesday during the early PM hours with Enrique Iglesias to work on an upcoming song.

It doesn't matter if the foot is dressed in Jimmy Choo. It still hurts when it goes into your mouth as it did for songwriter-slash-socialite Denise Rich on April 8. Rich joined Venus Williams, Sammy Sosa, Star Jones Reynolds, Gayle King, Antonio ''LA'' Reid, Shamin Abas, newlyweds Allison Weiss and Chip Brady, Tracey Ellis Ross, George Cloutier and Tiffany Spadafora, fashion designer Esteban Cortazar, Tiffany Trump and guests of honor Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons for Rush Philanthropics' ''Art for Life'' Palm Beach event at Mar-a-Lago. Days after Kimora and Russell announced they were splitting, Rich got onstage and announced to the crowd, ``Don't they make a great couple?''
