Hip-Hop Rumors: Cam'ron Declares War on...Chris Brown?

CAM’RON AND JUELZ BEEF WITH CHRIS BROWN, NO BEEF WITH JIMMY?

Chris Brown is such a happy little guy. The girls of all ages love him but does the R&B newbie have a problem with a pair of guys named Cam’ron and Juelz Santana? On Hot 97 with Angie Martinez, Cam said, “Shout out to Chris Brown! We gonna see you in court over that single with Juelz Santana! You better settle!” And after that, he shouted out Def Jam Records and Kanye. “We just settled that Kanye situation,” he said. All this court stuff is just too legal for The Diplomats. I’d really expect something more sinister, deviant and illegal from these guys but I suppose it’s refreshing to see that rappers are becoming smarter than that.

Cam’ron also touched on those Mariah rumors. I heard he admitted to being cool with the singer, but said they weren’t a couple. He said she simply comes to New York and they get together. When Angie delved into the part about Mariah rockin’ Cam’s Dip Set chain, I heard he ducked the answer. He never truly answered that one and said he didn’t want to talk about it any further. One thing these guys are is family. He denied beef with Jimmy and said that Jim was directing a video for Cam just yesterday. Truthfully, I am glad this rumor was shot down. Anyway, big shout out to Angie Martinez!

RAKIM TO RETURN?

Rakim is like a comet, but he comes whenever he wants. I heard the “god” is on the comeback trail and actually has some really big things on deck, including working with Talib Kweli. Apparently, the first single is expected in the next two months and an album will hit stores later this year. I think Ra should just wait until the year ‘07, for symbolic purposes! Nevertheless, this album is apparently going to be called Seventh Seal. At least, Ra and I think alike – YEAH RIGHT!

THE FLAVOR OF HATE!

Me, I am absolutely addicted to VH1’s Flavor Flav show “The Flavor of Love.” That show is the best, even though it started out a lil’ slow. Those of you that saw last week witnessed one of the vilest things ever: Punkin spat on New York in a fit of anger. From there, New York half-heartedly attacked and pushed Punkin into a camera. The spit was like a bullet! When they ran it back in slow-motion, I saw the spit ricochet off New York’s chin and into her flowing weave! Anyway, Punkin (also known as Pumpkin) addressed the whole matter on her MySpace page and countered what we saw on TV.

She said, “Well, I just did what everyone else wanted to do and wanted to see. So, I spit in her face. No, she did not hit me. No she did not really push me. My klutzy ass tripped over the rug in my high heels. Regardless of what happened, the bitch deserved it and the show went on. So, please understand that I am not a bad person . .. I am normal and when people press your buttons sometimes you do things out of character. However, I have absolutely no regrets!”

I know this, some people would have killed her for spitting on them, but she got off more-or-less-scott free!

BLACK ROB IN JAIL OR REHAB?

Well, it looks like Black Rob could very well be in the opposite of rehab – JAIL! I heard he is in a New Jersey jail because, prior to being arrested, he was a fugitive from the law. I believe he might be transferred to New York should this rumor be true. The NY rumor is rooted in a burglary case from a while back and some other sketchy “situations” Rob might be involved in. If Rob is out there, clean this one up homey!
