The A&M Records release is his follow-up to 2003's "Long Time Coming." Christian music veteran Steven Curtis Chapman helped write some of the album's 15 tracks.
"Message-wise, I'd consider this a gospel record," the 25-year-old North Dakota native told Billboard.com. "Some songs are directly about my relationship with God, some songs aren't. But it's really great to be able to do it."
"Turn Around" marks the first time any of Lang's records had been marketed and distributed to Christian retailers and radio outlets.
"Of course, I hope that the music can be a blessing to everybody, a Christian or not," Lang says. "This is just another Jonny Lang record. I hope it can relate to anybody."
He is currently on tour through the end of November.
