Bono and Sting hop aboard a pirate CD!

London, June 24(ANI): Bono, Sting, Jolie Holland and Nick Cave are among the stars who have reworked classic pirate tunes and sea chanteys for a new album inspired by Johnny Depp's 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' movies.

The U2 star does a version of 'Dying Sailor to His Shipmates'.

The 43-song album 'Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys', is the brainchild of Pirates of The Carribean director Gore Verbinski, with help from the, actor Johnny Depp.

Highlights in the album are, Rufus Wainwright doing 'Lowlands Away' with his folk singer mother Kate McGarrigle, while Jarvis Cocker sings 'A Drop Of Nelson's Blood.'

Antony from Antony and The Johnsons and Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry do 'Lowlands Low,' reports the Sun.

The album, produced by Anti Records, will be released on August 22. (ANI)
