'Jim Jones' (born 'Joseph Agurmella Jones' in 1976) is a Afro-Puerto Rican and Aruban rapper. He was born in Harlem's Taft projects. Jones is currently known for his association with rap group known as the Dip Set. The Dip Set features rappers Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Hell Rell, J.R. Writer, 40 Cal, Jha Jha and the currently incarcerated Freeky Zeekey. Jones was raised in Harlem, but was frequently moved as a youth in between the Bronx and Harlem. He met Cam'ron, an aspiring rapper, while Jones was in high school and remains Cam'ron's right-hand man today. He recorded many tracks alongside the Diplomats, and much of their music was bootlegged in the streets. In April 2004, Jones and Cam'ron founded Sizzurp, a premium blend urban liquor. Jones also worked on his debut album, The Diplomats Presents Jim Jones: On My Way To Church, which was released in August 2004, sparked by the Eazy-E sampled hit Certified Gangstas featuring Cam'ron and The Game. Jones also sparked a controversy on New York radio station when he said he hated unretired rapper and former friend Ma$e, who had made certain comments about Jones and Cam'ron that Jones felt were untrue. Jones has rapped on the Street Remix of Mariah Carey's "Boy I Need You". Discography *2004: The Diplomats Presents Jim Jones: On My Way To Church *2005: Harlem: Diary Of A Summer Singles
