Jaheim will release the single ‘Everytime I Think About Her’ on April 3rd as the first track to be taken from his third Warner Bros. Records/Divine Mill Records album ‘Ghetto Classics’.

Co-written by former Blackstreet man Eric Williams and produced by Bink (Xzibit) and Bernard Bell (Next), the baby making rhythms of ‘Everytime I Think About Her’ also feature the skills of Jadakiss. Already a hit in the States, ‘Everytime I Think About Her’ follows Jaheim’s previous singles successes with ‘Could It Be’, ‘Just In Case’ and ‘Fabulous’.

‘Ghetto Classics’ takes the sound that Jaheim established with such distinction on ‘Ghetto Love’ (2001) and ‘Still Ghetto’ (2002) and takes it to the next level. Discovered by Naughty By Nature/Zhane maestro KayGee, who signed and produced him, the two have a thrilling chemistry that infuses their love for classic soul with a contemporary sound. Throughout tracks such as ‘The Chosen One’, ‘Daddy Thing’, ‘Fiend’ and ‘The Chosen One’, KayGee and Jaheim bring out the best in each other.

Often compared to greats such as Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and Sam Cooke, it was the harmonies of Luther Vandross that really encouraged Jaheim to pursue music.

“There were times when I could feel Luther’s spirit when I was recording ‘Ghetto Classics’,” says Jaheim. “I can’t think of another black singer who was able to hold it down from the ‘70s until he suffered that stroke in 2004. Yet, though he was a major star, I’ve never felt that Luther ever got his real props as a genius.”

Since debuting in 2001, Jaheim has established himself as one of the genre’s most unique and memorable artists. ‘Ghetto Love’ hit the US Top 10 whilst ‘Still Ghetto’ sold more than a million copies in his homeland alone, reaching Platinum status in the process.
