FAT JOE DROPPED FROM ATLANTIC?

Yeah. That’s the word on the streets and the media. Fat Joe dropped. I’m not hating – I like Fat Joe for the things he’s done (especially bring Big Pun to the game). I’m just very interested in seeing if is fact or fiction. But, apparently Atlantic had seen enough and hit songs like “Lean Back” just didn’t cut it. More on this as it unfolds.

OZONE MAG AND ZINO ALMOST COLLIDE AT VIDEO?

Did I tell you that the music industry is like a big high school? No, I don't mean immature (or do I?), but it’s a tightly knit, dysfunctional circle. So, you're bound to see people you know and hate (or love) at various events. Let me get to the point. At a recent video shoot for Rick Ross' "Hustlin'," I heard both Benzino and Julia Beverly of OZONE magazine (natural bred enemies) were present for a scene in the club. Word has it JB was flanked by a pair of bodyguards to deter any foolishness. Now, I was told that Zino and JB (and her security) were less than five feet from each other for about a half hour straight! If you don't know why this is a big deal, go do some research on this situation. Its possible that each didn't know the other was there, but I personally find that unlikely. Eventually both of them exited the video shoot. I'm not positive who left first, but maybe they realized that gas and fire were at the same party? I can't call it exactly, but I'm just glad nobody was called a "slut monkey."

THE JACKI-O BLUES

Now, I am getting word that poor Jacki-O made her way to the same Rick Ross video set at Club Rollexxx and was promptly escorted off the set. I heard, upon her arrival, security was alerted and she was forced out of there. I also heard that Jacki cursed out the security that got too close to her. Now, I don’t believe Rick Ross issued these mandates, but apparently there was some reason for them to be so aggressive with her? (Could it be Rick’s recent Def Jam connection? Think Foxy Brown, yall! Read the first few lines of the previous rumor and it gets clearer...)

BET AND PAYOLA?

I’m sure people are looking for a smoking gun with BET and all this payola business, but I am here to let you know a recent “satire” article is completely false. A report that is written in the form of a news story is in rapid circulation and it tells a wholly unbelievable saga of how BET big wig Stephen Hill admitted to payola at the network. In a fake upcoming interview with (fired) BET host Tavis Smiley, Hill spills the beans. In this phony story, Hill “admits” to being a 40-hour a week Jehovah Witness, planting D4L as a payola poster child at BET and a being able to keep over $700,000 in payola as well as immunity from prosecution. Ok, you get this in your inbox, consider it a joke – if you think its funny. I didn’t, but I wonder about the D4L stuff.

TYSON…UM, EXPLAIN PLEASE

OK, now please understand that sometimes I am only doing the will of the people. People want to know what this is about! For the past week or so, there have been images of Tyson Beckford at a seemingly gay club chilling with seemingly gay people...not that there is anything wrong with that to quote my main man Jerry Seinfeld. At first, I personally thought it was just a fashion show and he took pics with a few scantily clad men, but it’s fairly apparently that there are no women there. Tyson has vehemently, fiercely and passionately defended himself against allegations that he is gay. Now, I suppose he’ll have to do it again.

RIP BIGGIE!!!!!!

I will never forget the day Biggie died. What a dark day that was. I don’t even care to revisit it in my mind. Anyway, God Bless all our fallen. For those that want a lil’ Biggie to listen to, click here and appreciate how f***kin’ dope he was. Young rappers, he didn’t give himself the crown – he took it! And, frankly, it’s still in his casket. If you want that crown, most of you are going to have to step your entire game up –escalator style!
