Hawthorne Heights Information

|
'Hawthorne Heights' is an American pop-punk band that formed in Dayton, Ohio in June of 2001. They were originally known as "A Day In The Life" but changed their name as their music and their lineup changed. JT Woodruff is the frontman on vocals and guitar, Matt Ridenour is on bass, Eron Bucciarelli on drums, and Casey Calvert and Micah Carli on guitar. Hawthorne Heights' unusual mix of three guitar players, a bass player, and a drummer give them the ability to transition distortion without pedals or pauses. 'Hawthorne' is a reference to the author Nathaniel Hawthorne and 'Heights' refers to transcendentalism. A large part of their popularity is due to the success of their label, Victory Records, promoting them heavily on such websites as Purevolume and Myspace. They released The Silence in Black and White in 2004 on Victory. Their biggest hit so far is "Ohio is for Lovers", which has been bundled with Winamp. They came out with a new release of The Silence in Black and White: Limited Edition with 7 bonus tracks and a DVD. It comes in two colors: black and white.
