Hanson Bro Exits Hospital

Los Angeles (E! Online) - Looks like the shows—and the musician—will go on.

Three days after his admission to a Dallas hospital and one day after undergoing "lifesaving surgery" to treat a pulmonary embolism, Isaac Hanson was back home Friday and is expected back on the road as early as Monday.

The operation was performed by Baylor University Medical Center's Dr. Bradley Grimsley, who, according to a posting on the Hanson Website, was "extremely satisfied" with the results of the surgery and expects the eldest of the "MMMBop" brothers to make "a full and swift recovery."

Doctors removed a blood clot that had caused his right arm to swell painfully and prescribed Hanson blood thinners to ward off future clots. Grimsley said that the 26-year-old will need to have a rib removed in the next few months to help open a vein.

Hanson was admitted to the hospital following a Tuesday show at the local House of Blues, after complaining of severe shoulder and chest pains. He was diagnosed with the form of pulmonary embolism known as venous thorasic outlet syndrome, or, more commonly, Paget-Schroeder Syndrome. The condition can lead to potentially fatal blood clots forming in the lungs and it harbors a 40 percent chance of permanent disability if it isn't properly treated.

However, the surgery went so well, Hanson was discharged today and is heading back to his hometown of Tulsa, where bandmate brothers Taylor, 24, and Zac, 21, arrived Tuesday night.

Isaac's hospital stay resulted in three canceled shows on the group's nationwide Walk Tour, but the brothers have already rescheduled the missed dates in Tulsa; Kansas City, Missouri; and St. Louis for Nov. 11, 12 and 13, respectively.

As of now, the trio is expected back on the road Monday, when they will resume their tour in Knoxville.
