Driver Killed In Wreck On Southwest Freeway Feeder

A driver was killed in a single-car crash Friday morning, KPRC Local 2 reported.

The wreck happened on the southbound feeder road of the Southwest Freeway near Bellaire Boulevard at about 6 a.m.

A witness said the driver, Phong T. Ngo, 21, appeared to be trying to make a light while traveling about 100 mph.

The witness said the car slammed into a wall at an underpass and burst into flames.

Officials said the Ngo died at the scene.
