Beyoncé Knowles has joined the cast of Cadillac Records alongside Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright, and Cedric the Entertainer. Knowles will play Etta James in the '50s-era film, which features Brody in the role of Chess Records founder Leonard Chess. The Darjeeling Limited star took over from Matt Dillon when a scheduling conflict forced him to pull out of the project.
According to AOL.com, Cadillac Records will be shot in New Jersey and Mississippi later this year.
