Cyndi Lauper, Blondie's Debbie Harry, and Erasure are embarking on a 15-city tour across North America this summer, hoping to spread awareness of gay rights issues and raise money for the LGBT community-supporting Human Rights Campaign.
"This tour was created to celebrate our differences by raising awareness for liberty, fairness and dignity for everyone—not just some of us," said Lauper. The bill also will include the Gossip, the Dresden Dolls, and the Misshapes, as well as comedian Margaret Cho as master of ceremonies. Rosie O'Donnell, Rufus Wainwright, and the Indigo Girls are slated as special guests for individual nights.
