|
'Dogs Die in Hot Cars' are one of a number of young Scottish bands breaking onto the UK and international music scene, alongside Biffy Clyro and Franz Ferdinand. Their debut album Please Describe Yourself received critical acclaim on release, and they have toured in the UK and in America. Three songs exemplifying the band's uplifting lyrical style and hook-oriented pop music songs are "I Love You Cause I Have To," "Pastimes & Lifestyles," and "Godhopping". The music may be reminiscent of 1980s bands such as Dexy's Midnight Runners, but the band list their influences among others as Nirvana and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
