'DevilDriver' is a Death Metal band based out of California, USA. Their debut album is the self-titled DevilDriver released on October 23, 2003 under Roadrunner Records. The group was started by Dez Fafara formerly of the nu metal band Coal Chamber and is a total departure from his previous work. Dez has stated he believes in creating brutal music, and this is more apparent on DevilDriver's newest release, The Fury Of Our Makers Hand. Dez and company incorporate elements of gothenburg, death, black, and thrash metal into their sound in order to achieve a raw and brutal sound.
A devil driver is the name witches give to the bells they use to drive evil away when they are casting their spells.
