FORMER world No. 1 DJ Tiesto is to return to Scotland with an extended set on June 23 at Glasgow's Carling Academy.

The Dutch star also plays the Brixton Academy the week before as part of a UK tour to support his new mix album In Search of Sunrise 5 - and he's promising quite a show.

Tiesto said: "I've travelled round the world so much, different influences have seeped in and I play a bit of everything now.

"I think the only way forward for DJs these days is to play a diverse mix of sounds."

KUSHION is the latest edition to Glasgow's crammed club and bar scene.

Formerly China White, the Bath Street venue has been added to the G1 Group's chain of venues and they're confident their local expertise can turn the club around. Refreshingly Kushion also aims to give fresh young DJs an outing.

A spokesman said: "Being local operators, we feel we can give Glasgow people what they are looking for.

"We offer a package that will reflect our city, rather than the former operator's London connections.

"Kushion aims to be inclusive, not exclusive."
