Mitchy Slick Hits The Road With DJ Quik; Album Dropping In August
Friday - May 19, 2006

In anticipation of his first release with DJ Muggs and Self Scientific's Angeles Records label, Mitchy Slick is gearing up to hit the road with West Coast legend DJ Quik for a string of West Coast dates.

The tour is slated to kick off June 3rd in Park City, Utah performing nine dates before closing out in Tempe, AZ.

The San Diego native inked a deal with the label late last year and announced that he was preparing the release of his long-awaited Urban Survival Syndrome album (see "Mitchy Slick Readies First Album With Angeles Records").

"My thing was that Muggs and them got a steady track record of keeping they businesses running," said Mitchy, earlier this year. "I peeped they style and how they get down, [and] it wasn't like most of these labels that's really a gang or hood or family-oriented. Angeles just seemed like a regular record label to me. 'Cause I'm about business, I've already done a lot of hood sh--. Now it's about business."

Label head, Chace Infinite (one half of the duo, Self Scientific) is excited about the release, and believes their formula equals success.

"After the success of the last project DJ Muggs vs. GZA/The Genius Grandmasters,we know we have the formula for success in house," said Chace, CEO of Angeles Records.

Urban Survival Syndrome is slated for release August 1.
